This rich beverage is quick and easy to make. All you need is a blender and the ingredients then your good to go.
Add 1 cup of coconut water, 3 cups of chopped romaine lettuce, 3 cups of chopped spinach, 1 stalk of chopped celery, 1/2 cup of chopped apple, 1/2 chopped banana and 1/2 chopped pear with a tablespoon of freshly squeezed lemon juice together in your blender. Blend until smooth.
Bermuda greens aren't only beneficial for our body, they are also good for our hair, skin and nails. Local gardens are bountiful with cucumbers. Cucumbers are a good source of caffeic acid which helps decrease skin redness and irritation. Naturally they provide an excellent source of hydration to our skin because of the high water content. We have all heard of how refreshing cucumber water is for the palate and the cooling effects of cucumber on puffy eyes, but have you heard of cucumber to soothe your skin overall?
You can do this yourself at home. All you require is to add a half chopped cucumber, including the peel, 3 tablespoons of witch hazel oil and three tablespoons of distilled water into a food processor an blend until smooth. You will need to strain the mixture to remove the chunks of cucumber so pour the mixture through a sieve and store in an air tight container. The serum is best when placed in the refrigerator and applied after gently washing the face. Use a pea size dollop and gently run onto your face.
If you don't have the time to create this serum you can always purchase similar products which will create the same cooling results.
Parsley is a bountiful Bermuda green. They are always available fresh at the grocery store, farmers market and vegetable stands. But did you know that this ever present herb is an excellent source of vitamin K? Vitamin K is responsible for speeding up the healing of blemishes, which is ideal for persons who suffer from acne, blotches and other skin issues. This easy to make parsley toner is a good way to get the vitamin K benefits directly on to the skin. Chop 1/2 cup of fresh parsley and add to 1 cup of boiling hot water. Let the mixture sit together for about 15 minutes or until the mixture has cooled off. Then strain the toner through a sieve. The mixture will be of a slight thickness to either use your fingers to apply or a cotton ball. Once the entire face or area is covered with the parsley toner wait until it dries some and then apply coconut oil to your face to gently moisturize.
