Have A Beer At Northrock Brewing Co
Located at the junction of South Road and Collectors Hill is The Northrock Brewing Company. It is a brewpub and restaurant that is very popular among locals and tourists alike. This is the only place where you will find a home grown local brewery and restaurant combination. The restaurant offers seating inside or outside on the patio. The menu consists of English pub favourites, such as Bangers and Mash, Steak & Ale Pie and traditional Bermudian cuisine. Popular appetizers include Bermuda Fish Chowder, Calamari, Shrimp Tempura, Shrimp Cocktail and the Super Sampler with includes Chicken Tenders, mozzarella sticks, cheese stuffed jalapenos, coconut shrimp and onion rings. They also offer Salads, Sandwiches and homemade burgers. The North Rock Trilogy, Bermuda Style Rock Fish and Rack of Lamb are highly recommended. Fresh Bermuda lobsters are also on the menu when in season. The food is good, the portions are filling, the service is excellent and the atmosphere is lively.
Despite being a local brewery that serves up fresh draught beers, they also have a full service bar that can serve up anything you desire. They produce about 600 kegs per year and about five are on tap to try. You can dine in at the mahogany bar, smoke free dining, take out, or simply sit at the bar. The prices are moderate, where lunch about $15.00 and dinner entrees about $30.00. I wouldn’t say that the restaurant is kid friendly, however I have seen on occasions where patrons have brought the entire family out for a great dining experience. After visiting the Verdmont Museum and on your way to John Smith's Bay for a swim, stop in and have a drink and some pub fare. They are open seven days a week serving lunch and dinner.
