However, for the visitor looking for a taste of local cuisine there are establishments serving delicious dishes such as fish chowder with black rum, conch stew, mussel pie, shark hash, Bermuda rockfish, paw-paw casserole as well as Bermuda lobster when in season. Dining choices vary depending on your mood popular choices include Al Fresco, Silver Service, Sushi Bars, Fast Food, Take-Out/Delivery, Bar and Grills, Sports Bars and Bistros. Due to Bermuda's conservative nature the dress code in most places is smart casual though some require for males to wear a jacket, beach attire is definitely frowned upon.
Most establishments require reservations although some allow you to dine without reservations, this is usually for lunch. For your convenience gratuities of 15% will be added to your bill for your waiter/waitress. Some places offer live entertainment and even become nightclubs when their kitchens close. Prices vary depending on the establishment and time of day but on average a breakfast for two will cost about $30 lunch about $45 and dinner at $85-$100 so eating out in Bermuda can get expensive but we aim to provide affordable options for any budget.
