Have Shortbread Kisses For Afternoon Tea



Shortbread kisses provide a chocolate twist to this English delight. Such delights are great as Christmas gifts, after dinner desserts as well as a tea time snack.

Ingredients:

  • 1 ½ cups of softened butter
  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • ¼ cup granulated sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 cups cake flour
  • 1 cup of Hershey’s Chocolate Kisses

Method:

Preheat oven to 350° F. In a large mixing bowl cream together butter and sugar until fluffy.

Add the eggs and flour to the mixture until a soft dough is formed.

Cover bowl with cling wrap and place in the refrigerator for a least an hour.

Once the mixture has been removed from the refrigerator roll out dough on floured surface about ¼ “ thick. Cut dough into 3” rounds with cookie cutter. Place the Hershey kisses on top of each round. You can place as many that will fit on top, otherwise one will generally do the trick. Place in the oven for about 12 minutes or until the surface is golden brown.
