Be Seen At The Pickled Onion
The Pickled Onion is a trendy, upscale bar and restaurant located on Front Street. After climbing a steep flight of stairs you are rewarded with a casual but sophisticated martini-styled bar and dining area.
This Joint Comes Alive At Night
It is at night when this joint really comes alive. At that time you can see a good mix of young professionals, just off from work, mingling over drinks with the tourist crowd, who just want to hang out. It’s a great atmosphere and really promotes having a good time, as dictated by the lively feel good decor. The open air beams up above certainly add more allure thus making it an airy fun place to be.
A Global Infusion Of Foods
The food is excellent. The menu consists of your usual North American favourites with a lil global pizzazz from the chefs. Traditional Bermudian dishes can also be found on the menu. These include mussels, fish chowder, Bermuda Wahoo, and Bermuda Rockfish, served any style you desire. The wings, pizza sticks, mozzarella sticks, salads and burgers are popular choices. They also serve pizza, fish sandwiches, steaks, lamb and pasta dishes. Drink specials are also readily available.
Live Entertainment Keeps The Party Going
Live entertainment will keep you in party mode during the summer months. The balcony overlooks Hamilton Harbour and Front Street. It is quite a spectacle to sit out on the balcony and watch luxury yachts and boats navigate the harbour.
Despite the upscale decor the prices are not equally as upscale. Lunch can be under $50 for two persons, which is quite reasonable for how expensive the island can be. However, the most unique thing about this bar and restaurant is that it has managed to blend Bermuda’s conservative sophistication with modern edginess.
